Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky says that US President Donald Trump has made an “unworthy” and “weak” decision by agreeing to accept Russian oil to ease shortages in the United States.
The US leader said earlier that Russia’s President Vladimir Putin had agreed to supply diesel fuel to the US and world markets.
Zelensky tells reporters: “It is certainly not honest, it is certainly unworthy of our partners, and it is, in my view, a weak decision.”
His comments come as Ukrainian negotiators are to meet US envoys on Friday and Saturday in the United States.
Lebanon says 6 wounded in attack that Israel says targeted pro-Iran Syrian operative
Lebanon says an Israeli attack today wounded six people, as Israel said it targeted a “Syrian terrorist” who planned anti-Israel attacks under Iranian instructions.
“The Israeli attack near the town of Hawsh al-Sayyed Ali in the Hermel district led to six wounded, including five Syrian nationals, two of them women, and one Lebanese,” Lebanon’s health ministry says.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) reports that “an enemy military drone targeted a car” in the town, located close to the Syrian border.
The IDF said earlier it “struck a Syrian terrorist,” identified as Yusef Ali Al-Hassan, who it said, “operated under the direction of the Iranian regime and advanced terrorist attacks targeting Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers operating in southern Syria.”
The IDF did not say whether it believed Hassan was killed in the strike.

US President Donald Trump says that he has secured Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s agreement to release diesel into US and global markets, vowing this will help cool surging energy costs amid war with Iran.
“Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November,” Trump says on social media following talks with Putin.
The US Treasury Department adds that it is issuing a temporary license for Russian diesel to flow to global markets.
Foreign Ministry warns Israelis abroad to be ‘vigilant’ ahead of expected anti-Israel rallies tomorrow

The Foreign Ministry issues a warning to Israelis around the world to be on alert ahead of planned anti-Israel demonstrations expected tomorrow.
The ministry calls on Israelis abroad “to exercise heightened vigilance and avoid areas where protests are taking place, as well as locations where there is a risk of confrontations or antisemitic incidents.”
A number of demonstrations are expected to mark the third anniversary of the Hamas October 7 onslaught, including a major march in downtown London.

Strong earthquake shakes Panama, setting off tsunami alert
A major earthquake shakes Panama, setting off panic in the capital city, with the US Geological Survey measuring the quake at magnitude 7.6 as a tsunami threat notice is issued.
The quake’s strength was first measured at magnitude 8, before being adjusted.
USGS says the quake was detected at 1756 GMT, with the epicenter 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from the small town of Pitaloza Arriba in the south-center of Panama.
Israel strikes Syrian man near Lebanese border who plotted attacks against Israel, says IDF
The IDF says it carried out a strike on a Syrian man it says was planning terror activity directed by Iran.
In a statement, the military says it carried out an airstrike today along the Syrian-Lebanon border on Yusef Ali Al-Hassan, “a Syrian terrorist who advanced terror plots against Israeli civilians and IDF forces operating in southern Syria, under the direction of the Iranian terror regime.”
The IDF says that several plots by Hassan over the past year were thwarted, including rocket and drone attacks against Israeli forces.
The military does not immediately clarify whether it believes Hassan was killed in the strike.
Syria has repeatedly announced arrests of Hezbollah-linked fighters in its territory, though the Iran-backed group denies it has any presence in Syrian territory.

IDF says troops killed suspect who crossed ceasefire line in north Gaza
The IDF says that troops struck and killed a “terrorist” in the northern Gaza Strip today who crossed the “Yellow Line” and approached troops in a threatening manner.
The military says it struck and killed the man in question “to remove the threat.”
UK authorities release 2 Latvian men on bail after arrest on RAF base
Two Latvian men who were arrested inside the perimeter of a British air force base that houses US and NATO intelligence personnel have been released on bail, say UK counterterrorism police.
The base, RAF Molesworth, located 70 miles (110 kilometers) north of London, is operated by the US Air Force and is home to the NATO Intelligence Fusion Center, which provides information to the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, as well as intelligence personnel from the US Africa Command.
Officers from the Ministry of Defense Police and Cambridgeshire Constabulary began investigating the incident at about 10 p.m. Wednesday after an abandoned vehicle was found near the edge of the base. Police later found a small hole in the perimeter fence, and the suspects, both UK residents, were arrested at about 2 a.m. yesterday.
“Our investigation continues and we are working closely with colleagues from the Ministry of Defense Police and Cambridgeshire Constabulary on this,” Commander Helen Flanagan, head of Counter Terrorism Policing London, says in a statement. “A key line of enquiry remains to identify any potential motivation behind why the men were at that location, and this includes whether it may be connected to any criminal activity.”
Police said yesterday that there was no indication that the arrests were related to a recent security alert at RAF Fairford, from which the US Air Force has launched strikes on Iran. All of the American bombers that had been deployed to Fairford returned to their home bases in the US last weekend.

US Vice President JD Vance says he does not know if the Pentagon’s planned livestream of the execution of the gunman who killed 13 people at the Fort Hood military base in 2009 will happen.
“I don’t know that that’s actually going to happen,” says Vance, adding that if it is broadcast: “I’m not going to be watching it.”
Police: 15-year-old settler arrested over assault and car theft against Palestinians near Yabrud

Police say they have arrested a 15-year-old settler on suspicion of involvement in assaulting and robbing Palestinians near the central West Bank village of Yabrud.
Footage published by Palestinian media from the attack showed at least six settlers in two separate cars trap a third vehicle and beat its occupants with sticks. The two victims, who are seen fleeing, were identified in the reports as a Palestinian father and son.
In a statement, police describe the attack as “nationalist” and a car theft. They say officers confiscated one of the vehicles used by the attackers. It’s unclear from the statement what happened to the victims’ car.
West Bank police chief Moshe Pinchi is quoted in the statement as saying police “won’t let these extremist rioters destabilize the security of the area.”
