Netanyahu testimony in corruption trial to end early once again

Judges in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption trial agree once again to cut short his testimony following the premier’s request to do so due to an unspecified event later today.

Netanyahu’s testimony was scheduled to finish at 4 p.m. but will now end at 1:30 p.m.

Yesterday’s hearing was also cut short by two hours due to a request from the prime minister.

Netanyahu is being cross examined today on Case 2000, in which he is charged with fraud and breach of trust over allegations he planned an arrangement with Yediot Aharonot publisher Arnon (Noni) Mozes where he would receive more favorable media coverage from the publication and Netanyahu would in return advance legislation to weaken Yediot’s rival Israel Hayom.
