US President Donald Trump tells protesters in Iran that “help is on its way” and urges them to keep protesting, after Iranian authorities said some 2,000 people had been killed in the mass demonstrations.
“Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price,” Trump writes on his Truth Social platform, in what amounts to a call on the protesters to oust the regime.
He says he has “cancelled all meetings with Iranian Officials until the senseless killing of protesters STOPS.”
“HELP IS ON ITS WAY,” he adds.
